Materials:
- Two kiss type candies
-
Heavy gage floral wire
-
Green florist tape
-
Rose colored plastic wrap about 6 inches
-
Silk
leaf
-
Scissors
-
Optional 12 inches of ribbon
Directions:
Put two candy kisses flat sides together and lay them on the plastic wrap, leaving about half an inch between the candy point and the
edge of plastic wrap. Hold candies in place while folding wrap over candy on all sides, gently twisting the bottom together. Wrap one
end of wire around bottom of plastic wrap a couple of times to hold plastic in place. Cut off extra plastic sticking out from wire. Starting
where the wire holds the plastic, firmly wrap florist tape around wire. Continue wrapping florist tape over wire downward about three
inches then hold stem of leaf close to the wire and wrap florist tape over both stem and wire a couple of times. Continue wrapping the
florist tape downward over the rest of wire. Wrap extra tape over bottom end of wire to make sure there is no sharp edge. As an
option, tie a ribbon around stem. Make several candy rosebuds and tie them together or set them in a vase. Make sure vase is sturdy;
candy rosebuds tend to be top heavy.
