Leslie Ann Dauphin holds a Ph.D. in microbiology from North Carolina State University. Currently, she works as a microbiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the author of The Germ Handbook (Siloam, 2005), a guide which teaches parents how to protect their families from infectious diseases. Written in simple terms, this book teaches how to prevent, fight through, and recover from colds, flu, pneumonia, strep throat, mononucleosis, diarrhea, and other illnesses.
In addition to publications in her field of study, Dr. Dauphin has written columns and articles for magazines such as Charisma and Change. She has taught biological sciences for over ten years and speaks annually at national scientific conferences.
